Both doctors at our Pickerington location trained at Palmer College of Chiropractic and share a foundation in the Gonstead system. Dr. Dennis Schone brings over 40 years of clinical experience and a career built around spinal care, rehabilitation, and nutritional wellness. Dr. Tim Smart is a Pickerington native with specialty training in sports injuries, auto accidents, and spinal decompression.

Dr. Dennis Schone, D.C. - CEO and President, HealthFirst Chiropractic

Dr. Dennis Schone is the CEO and President of HealthFirst Chiropractic and has been in private practice for over 40 years. He earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1981 and has extensive training in the Gonstead technique, spinal care, rehabilitation, and nutritional wellness. Over the course of his career, Dr. Schone has authored articles for national publications and is a published author and wellness lecturer who has spoken for numerous corporations. His experience and mentorship have shaped both the practice and the careers of the doctors who work alongside him.

Dr. Schone enjoys spending time with his wife of over 35 years, their four children, and nine grandchildren.

Dr. Tim Smart, D.C.

Dr. Tim Smart was born and raised in Pickerington, Ohio, so when he says he’s invested in this community, he means it. He played football at Baldwin Wallace University before earning his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Palmer College. Dr. Smart holds two professional certifications – ACSM Certified Exercise Physiologist (CEP) and NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) – and has extensive training in the Gonstead technique, sports injuries, and auto accident care.

Outside the office, Dr. Smart spends time with his wife Kaitlin and their Bernedoodle Ted, and is a regular at Grace Fellowship Church in Pickerington. He also enjoys golfing and staying active in the community he grew up in.
